今年春晚，总台在技术创新应用上突破，实现多个“”实现“8K超高清+三维菁彩声”春晚直播；使用我国自主研发的8K超高清摄像机参与春晚摄制；利用总台首创的智能伴随技术实现高清/4K/8K版春晚同步制作；采用三维菁彩声制作春晚音频信号，最大限度还原春晚现场的音效，打造身临其境的效果；总台牵头研发的VR三维影像绘制技术也将在春晚舞台上亮相，观众可实时欣赏到VR画师绘制三维影像的生成过程。
今年春晚还将充分运用XR、AR等前沿科技，打造惟妙惟肖的虚拟舞台，为观众带来极致体验。5G云连线技术搭建从云端到现场的桥梁，让春晚舞台现场内外同唱一首歌。自由视角超高清拍摄系统叠加智能插帧算法，快速生成更为平滑、连续、稳定的“时空流转”“精彩定格”的美妙瞬间。一系列硬核科技的充分应用将为观众带来奇妙、震撼的视听感受。
为满足受众多样态的观看需求，随时随地感受春晚热烈喜庆的氛围，总台将采用“百城千屏+云听”双平台同步直播。受众可在全国约500个城市的文化广场“百城千屏”8K超高清公共大屏上，配合云听客户端的三维菁彩声，享受纤毫毕现的沉浸视听效果。今年，“竖屏看春晚”推出多画面同步观看的新功能，为手机用户带来台前幕后更多独特视角。央视频客户端也将采用“竖屏+三维菁彩声”和“横屏+三维菁彩声”两种模式直播春晚，供网友灵活选择。
